Rachel: Total weight loss, 100 lbs. and counting
I was tired of being tired. I knew that I needed to do something to get back to a healthy lifestyle, but that goal seemed so far away. My "breaking point" was on a family vacation. I was surrounded by breathtaking views and I realized I wasn't participating in activities that I once enjoyed. People were having fun all around me, and I was on the sidelines because I was "too tired" or I was too embarrassed of my weight. Simple physical tasks seemed exhausting. I knew this wasn't the real "me." I needed a drastic change. I knew I wanted to set a good example to my young children about being healthy, fit and strong. I also know that I am a work in progress. Losing a hundred pounds is not the end of my goal; it is a new beginning for me. |
